Block Stone Property – Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement
Published in accordance with Section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015
Block Stone Property is committed to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in all aspects of our business and supply chains. We take our responsibilities seriously and continue to take steps to understand and minimise any potential risks.
About Block Stone Property
Block Stone Property provides property maintenance services across London and surrounding areas. We are committed to ensuring a safe, fair, and respectful working environment for all employees, subcontractors, and partners.
Our Commitment
We do not engage with any organisation, in the UK or abroad, which knowingly supports or is involved in slavery, servitude, forced labour, or human trafficking.
We ensure that all prospective employees and subcontractors are legally entitled to work in the UK and are treated fairly and ethically.
We promote a culture where staff and subcontractors feel able to raise concerns without fear of retaliation.
Our Supply Chain
Our supply chain is primarily UK-based, with a limited number of suppliers for goods and services.
We assess the risk of modern slavery in our supply chains as low, but we remain vigilant and require suppliers to comply with ethical and lawful employment practices.
Policies and Procedures
Block Stone Property ensures that the principles of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 are embedded through:
Code of Conduct
Recruitment and Selection Policy
Health & Safety and Welfare Policies
Ongoing staff inductions and training on ethical practices and reporting concerns
We require all staff and subcontractors involved in procurement or site work to understand and comply with these policies.
Training and Awareness
Staff and subcontractors receive awareness training on modern slavery and ethical employment practices.
Training includes guidance on recognising and reporting suspected cases of modern slavery.
We continue to review and improve our policies, procedures, and training to maintain a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery.
This statement is approved by the Director of Block Stone Property.
It will be reviewed and updated annually to reflect any changes in legislation or business practices.
